BANGOR TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Deputies say a tip led them to find an elderly man who went missing in Bangor Township Wednesday morning.

According to the Van Buren County Sheriff's Office, 80-year-old Robert Gale left his home in the 62000 block of County Road 376 around 9 a.m.

Gale has dementia and other medical conditions that require daily medication, deputies said.

Sheriff Daniel Abbott says that a tip was sent in about a man who matched the description, seen working on a truck in Kalamazoo County.

Gale was located just after 11:30 p.m. Wednesday in his broken down vehicle with a cell phone that had died.

He is in good health and now back with his family.
