FRUITPORT, Michigan — The president of a Muskegon area business was stabbed by an employee Tuesday, Fruitport Police confirm.
It happened at Andersen Express, an automotive supply manufacturer located at 3011B South Mill Iron Road in Muskegon, around 9:20 a.m., investigators say.
Police say the suspect, a 32-year-old Walker man who worked at the company for two weeks, was described as quiet and reserved by fellow employees. Investigators have not established a motive yet.
The man apparently stabbed the president in the side with a knife during a staff meeting, then ran outside and drove off in his car. He was arrested around fifteen minutes later, officers say.
The victim is currently out of surgery and remains in serious but stable condition, police say.
The company website lists the president as Eric Denslow, though police have not released their identity yet.
The suspect is expected to be arraigned Wednesday.
Police are still investigating and say they've obtained video recordings of the scene.
