MISSING | Delton man with Alzheimer's has been missing since Sunday

The caretaker of Michael Hodge said he went for a walk Sunday but did not return to his home in Barry County.

DELTON, Mich. — Friends and family are looking for a Delton Man who has been missing since Sunday.

The caretaker of Michael Hodge said he went for a walk Sunday but did not return to his home in Barry County.

Hodge, according to caretaker Brittany Bill, has Alzheimer's. She said she helps Hodge during the weekdays and is also helping the search party that is going through Delton and other neighboring towns.

Hodge is 76 years old, has gray hair and was last seen wearing a black or gray fleece.

Bill said he could possibly be confused about where he's at and frequents places like the family fare in Delton or Tujax tavern right across the street.

"He was last seen on foot, so we are canvassing, handing out flyers all the places he goes, anywhere he might be around his house, in the woods, anywhere like that," said Hodge. "He's familiar with the area. He's lived there a long time, he knows the area. He just, I think must have gotten turned around with a little confusion that was triggered by something."

The Michigan State Police are also helping in this search.

If you do know anything about Michael Hodge's whereabouts or have recently seen him, you're asked to contact Michigan State Police or the Barry County Sherrif's Office.
