KENT COUNTY, Mich. — One man is dead after he ran a stop sign and crashed into another car, according to the Kent County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said around 5 p.m. on Thursday, a 21-year-old Gowen man drove a Ford Fusion eastbound on Indian Lakes Road and ran the stop sign at Pine Island Drive NE.
The Fusion crashed into a Chevrolet Silverado heading southbound, driven by a 69-year-old Belmont man, troopers said.
The 21-year-old Bowen man died on the scene and the 69-year-old Belmont man was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to deputies.
