One dead in early morning crash in Comstock Township

​Names are not being released at this time as the investigation is still ongoing. However, deputies say drugs and alcohol may be factors in the crash.

COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, Mich. — One person died in a two-vehicle crash in Comstock Township early Sunday morning. 

According to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office (KCSO), they responded to a call at 4:14 a.m. about a crash involving a sedan and a pickup truck. 

Following an investigation, deputies found that the crash happened on N Avenue just west of 33rd Street. The driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. 

Names are not being released at this time as the investigation is still ongoing. However, deputies say drugs and alcohol may be factors in the crash.
