Kentwood woman killed in Grand Rapids Twp. crash

The crash happened after a Ford Escape drifted over the centerline and hit a Honda Civic.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A woman was killed Thursday evening in a crash in Grand Rapids Township.

The crash happened around 7:40 p.m. in the area of E Fulton Street and Cascade Road. A Ford Escape was traveling west on E Fulton Street when it drifted over the centerline and hit a Honda Civic.

The driver of the Ford, a 56-year-old Kentwood woman, was seriously injured. She was taken to a hospital for treatment and later died from her injuries.

The driver of the Honda, a 94-year-old Grand Rapids Township man, was also seriously injured. 

This crash remains under investigation. Alcohol is believed to be a factor.
