KALAMAZOO COUNTY, Mich. — A Battle Creek man died Saturday afternoon in a crash in Ross Township.
According to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the area of M-89 near N. 43rd Street around 12:30 p.m. for a reported personal injury accident involving a vehicle hitting a tree.
When deputies arrived they said they found a 59-year-old man unresponsive in a red Dodge truck that had gone off the road and hit a tree.
Deputies said despite life-saving efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Michigan State Police, Richland Village Police and Village of Augusta Police also responded to the crash, which remains under investigation.
