OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. — A park maintenance building was destroyed by fire Tuesday morning in Ottawa County.
The incident happened around 2:45 a.m. at a building on 24th Avenue in Grose Park. Police say the building, which had several maintenance vehicles inside, sustained heavy fire damage before the flames were extinguished.
During investigation, deputies with the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office also found that nearby restroom fixtures had been intentionally damaged.
Police say arson may be the cause of the fire, and a Michigan State Police arson investigator is currently working with the sheriff’s office. So far, no injuries have been reported.
