GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — If you're looking for a way to beat the Sunday scaries this October, you can spend the day throwing an axe for a good cause at FlannelJax in Grand Rapids.
Every Sunday through the month of October, 25% of all sales at the axe-throwing business will go towards In The Image.
“We are excited to contribute to the betterment of our community by supporting a different organization each month,” said Stephen Schober, President & CEO of FlannelJax’s. “In addition to having some fun at our FlannelJax’s venues, non-profits, like In The Image, will receive financial donations and have a spotlight shone on their efforts. We applaud their dedication and hard work provided to Grand Rapids.”
In The Image is a charity that serves thousands of people and families by helping them meet their basic needs such as clothing, shoes, housewares and personal hygiene products at no cost.
One way they've done that is in the 27 years since the program launched its SHOES program they've provided more that 100,100 pairs of shoes to elementary students.
“In The Image is grateful for organizations who find unique ways to support their local community,” said Ashley Lubbs, PhD, Executive Director of In The Image (MI). “The support from FlannelJax’s turns into tangible support; a pack of diapers for a young mom, an interview outfit for someone working hard to start over, new shoes for a child before they start school. Together, we make positive, lasting change in our community.”
