GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Grand Rapids' largest brewery is getting ready for its reopening next month as renovations are nearing completion.
Founders Brewing Co. closed on March 4 so it can get a complete makeover from the kitchen to taproom.
Last week, the brewery completed some major projects throughout the building. Founders says they have installed a new kitchen HVAC and hood exhaust, walk-in cooler and freezer, as well as booth walls and a host stand. The kitchen also had tile and walls installed, while the taproom got a fresh coat of paint.
There is still much more that needs to be completed before the reopening, but Founders is on track with the construction. Still ahead, Founders will install new light fixtures, kitchen equipment and finish all the plumbing, electrical and fire suppression systems.
