Fountain Street Church releases beer for 150th celebration

The church partnered with Brewery Vivant to create "The Fountain Streeter."

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - An iconic downtown Grand Rapids church has released a beer in celebration of their 150th anniversary.

Fountain Street Church partnered up with Brewery Vivant to release the beer, called "The Fountain Streeter." The beer is limited edition and premieres Wednesday, April 10 at an anniversary party at the brewery. 

The party will be from 5 until 8 p.m. and feature not just limited edition beer, but limited edition Fountain Street Church gear as well.

The church turned 150 on January 11, 2019, and is known for being religiously liberal and non-denominational. 

In the building's storied history, the likes of Winston Churchill, Eleanor Roosevelt, Amelia Earhart, Robert Frost and Malcom X have all appeared.
