WYOMING, Mich. — Godfrey-Lee Public Schools will be closed Monday after the district received a threat.
School officials announced the closure early Monday morning, saying that a staff member reported the threat to school staff.
Both the Grand Rapids Police Department and Wyoming Police Department are now investigating.
"The safety and well-being of our students and our staff is our top priority and we take all threats seriously," reads the school's announcement. "We are waiting for further information from law enforcement before clearing our staff, students, and community to return to our campuses. We will provide more information as it becomes available."
The nature of the threat is unclear at this time.
Monday afternoon, school officials said law enforcement deemed the threat not credible, and authorities believe there is no danger to the school.
