GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Two people were injured and a building was damaged during an overnight car crash in Grand Rapids.

Police say it happened around 1 a.m. Friday at the corner of Godfrey Avenue and Market Avenue. A suspected drunk driver crashed into another vehicle, then crashed into the building, according to police.

A 13 ON YOUR SIDE crew at the scene said the building appears to be the Box Boards Loft building, which has been renovated into apartments. It is unclear if anyone was in the building at the time of the crash.

Both drivers suffered minor injuries.

Police say the suspected drunk driver is now facing charges.

The building will be evaluated for any structural damage.
