GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Fire crews in Grand Rapids were called to a house fire Monday around 5:30 p.m. in the Heritage Hill neighborhood.
The fire occurred at a home on Prospect Avenue SE between Washington Street and Fulton Street.
Eight crews responded to the fire and flames were seen on the first and second floors before traveling to the attic and eventually breaking through the roof.
Everyone in the home was alerted by smoke detectors and were able to make it out safely.
The department said no one was injured and the cause is still under investigation.
