GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Law enforcement is investigating after a person was found dead underneath I-196 on Grand Rapids' west side Thursday morning.
A Grand Rapids Police spokesperson said someone first called 911 at 8:15 a.m.
Multiple officers responded and found a person who had died underneath the 196 underpass near Lane Avenue and First Street.
GRPD said there are no signs of foul play and it does not appear suspicious.
The cause and manner of death will be determined later following an autopsy by the medical examiner.
