GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Grand Rapids Fire Department needs your help updating their strategic plan.
They want to know what you think of your local fire service. This will help them shape their financial plan for 2026-2028.
All you have to do is fill out a fire service survey which is available now until Nov. 30.
They want to know what you think they're doing well or could improve on.
“The new Fiscal Year (FY) 2026-28 strategic vision will outline how your Grand Rapids Fire Department operates and responds to the needs of the community,” Fire Chief Brad Brown said. “We operate with a continuous improvement mindset, understanding that there is always room for improvement. Our residents, through this survey, will give us a great understanding of how we can better serve the community over the next three years.”
The new strategic plan will be adopted by July 1, 2025.
