GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Grand Rapids police are searching for suspects after a vehicle and laptop were allegedly stolen from a home overnight.

Police say it happened just before 2 a.m. Wednesday at a home in the 1400 block of Hope Street SE in Grand Rapids. The suspect or suspects entered the home but did not make contact with the residents.

Police say they then stole a vehicle and a laptop. It is unclear at this time if the laptop was stolen from the home or if it was inside the vehicle.

Police officers were able to track the laptop north of Grand Rapids. It then came back into Grand Rapids, where officers attempted to stop the vehicle using stop sticks, but were unsuccessful.

The vehicle was later found abandoned in the area of Tamarack Avenue NW and Arianna Street NW.

No arrests have been made in this incident. Police have not provided any suspect information.

It is unclear if the laptop has been recovered by police.

This is a developing story. Please check back later for updates.
