No one injured after Grand Rapids home shot multiple times

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — No one was injured but a home was shot multiple times early Friday morning, according to the Grand Rapids Police Department.

Police confirmed the incident happened around 4:15 a.m. in the 2200 block of Buchanan Avenue SW. The home was hit by gunfire eight to 10 times, according to police.

Two older residents were in the home at the time of the shooting, but were not injured. Investigators do not believe they were the intended targets.

No arrests have been made at this time and there are no suspects.

While the home is near Burton Elementary School, there is no indication the shooting will impact school operations.
