GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Editors note: the attached photo is a stock image of the model of car police believe they are looking for. At this time police said they do not have any photos or video stills of the involved vehicle.
The Grand Rapids Police Department released the identity of a woman killed in a hit and run on March 17. They also released information about the vehicle they are looking for in connection to the crash.
Donna Nguyen, 55, has been identified as the victim of the crash. She was struck and killed around 2:10 a.m. that night. The vehicle fled the scene but witnesses were able to give a description of it to police.
Investigators have now said they were able to confirm the car is a Ford. They strongly believe it is a blue 2019 Ford Fusion. Police said it would have significant damage to the front passenger side of the vehicle, including a damaged headlight, bumper, hood and fender.
Anyone with any information, including any surveillance video as the vehicle left the scene, is encouraged to contact Officer Tyler Kohl at (616) 456-4531 (tkohl@grcity.us) or Officer Justin Ewald at (616) 456-4282 (jewald@grcity.us).
