1 injured after shooting on US-131 in Grand Rapids

One person sustained non-life-threatening injuries after shots were fired between two moving vehicles on US-131. Police are now investigating.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — One person was injured Tuesday in a shooting on US-131 in Grand Rapids.

Police said two cars were driving on southbound US-131 near Burton Street around 3 a.m. when shots were fired. One person sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The highway was closed for about 40 minutes for investigation.

The Michigan State Police is now investigating this shooting. Anyone with information should contact the MSP Grand Rapids Post at 616-866-4411.
