GREENVILLE, Mich. — A Greenville man is severely hurt in the hospital after being hit by a car on Saturday night, the Department of Public Safety says.
Around 11 p.m., a 60-year-old Greenville man was crossing North Lafayette Street, near Grove Street, when he was hit by a car.
He was transported to a local hospital by ambulance, then transferred to a Grand Rapids hospital by AeroMed due to the severity of his injuries.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, police say. The driver, a 70-year-old man from Lakeview, was arrested on the scene.
Multiple agencies were on the scene to direct traffic and secure the area. The investigation is ongoing.
