GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Grand Rapids Police say a person wanted on a felony warrants is in custody Wednesday morning after a brief standoff.
It started just before 9 a.m. Wednesday at a home in the 900 block of Thomas Street SE. GRPD says that the Fugitive Task Force, which is made up of members of multiple law enforcement agencies, received information about the person's whereabouts.
When authorities tried to talk with the individual and take that person into custody, police say he refused to come out.
Negotiation teams were called to the area and nearby roads were shut down.
After about an hour of negotiating, the suspect surrendered to officers around 10:10 a.m.
There were no injuries in the incident and roads will reopen as the scene is cleared.
