KALAMAZOO COUNTY, Mich. — A woman was shot and two others were injured when a gun went off inside her purse while she was shopping at a Kalamazoo County Costco.
The incident happened Sunday afternoon at an Oshtemo Township Costco. Deputies say a gun inside a legal gun owner's purse went off while she was shopping. The gun owner was shot in the hand.
Another shopper sustained an ankle injury and a third person fainted and was injured "during the chaos," according to deputies.
The gun owner was taken to a hospital for treatment.
