ALLENDALE, Mich. — Grand Valley State University is hosting an event called Love Story: A Taylor Swift-inspired Carillon Concert Event at the Cook Carillon Tower this week.
On Friday, Oct. 11 the event will be held on the Allendale campus next to the clock tower and feature free Taylor Swift-themed swag, food trucks and crafts.
The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with friendship bracelet making and a flower bouquet bar. There will also be t-shirts given away on a first-come, first-serve basis.
GVSU students should bring their student ID to the event.
There will be macaroni and cheese from Louie's Lunchbox, burgers and fries from Patty Matters, and cookies and cake pops from Stir It Up Bakery. Food will also only be available while supplies last.
At 6:30 p.m., the Carillon concert will begin. Carillonneur Jerry Jelesma will be the performer.
As part of the evening, attendees are invited to attend a performance of Romeo and Juliet at 7:30 p.m. inside the Performing Arts Center.
