HOLLAND, Mich. — No one was injured but a home in Holland was damaged when a fire broke out overnight Tuesday.

Police say firefighters responded around 12:45 a.m. to a fire at a two-unit home on W 19th Street. Crews saw fire coming from the second-story windows when they arrived. Firefighters entered the apartment on the second floor and were able to quickly extinguish the fire.

All occupants of the home were able to safely evacuate, police say.

While damage estimates are not available at this time, police say the home suffered "significant" damage, since the fire continued through the roof.

The cause of the fire is now under investigation.

Crews remained on scene until about 3:30 a.m. to make sure any hotspots were extinguished before clearing the scene.
