OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. — A 28-year-old Wyoming woman lost her life in a crash involving a cement truck Friday morning.

The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office said it happened just after 7:45 a.m. near 72nd Avenue and Tyler Street in Blendon Township.

Authorities said the 28-year-old driving a red Sedan was westbound on Tyler Street. She stopped at a stop sign, and then headed through the intersection where she was struck by the northbound vehicle, deputies said.

The woman died from her injuries.

The 42-year-old cement truck driver from Zeeland wasn't hurt.

Deputies reopened the intersection after it was closed for a few hours to investigate. That investigation continues.
