HOLLAND, Mich. - On Monday evening, June 12, there was a small dune grass fire at Tunnel Park in Ottawa County.
The Ottawa County Parks and Recreation said that it was accidentally set by fireworks. The department then reminded the public that fireworks are not allowed at the beach without prior permission.
Monday's fire was right next to the staircase that was destroyed in a fire in 2015.
The fire department was able to quickly respond to Monday night's fire, and only dune grass was damaged.
