Cosmik fries are coming to the lakeshore; HopCat Holland is officially opening on April 27.
HopCat announced that it would be opening a Holland location about a year ago. The popular brewpub will be occupying a space on 8th Street, which has been the focus of major development. There will also be a new 11-screen cinema, retail shops, apartments and a parking deck in the West Eighth project.
“We’ve considered the Holland location for years,” said Kevin Kozak, VP of Development & Construction. “With the development of ‘West Eighth,’ we found it to be the perfect opportunity to expand.”
On April 27, the doors will open at 11 a.m. and the first 200 guests will have the opportunity to win free cosmik fries for a year.
The restaurant will also have more than 80 beers on tap and an outdoor patio.
This is the 17th HopCat location and the eighth in Michigan.
It is set to open just before the annual Tulip Time Festival in Holland, which kicks off on May 4.
The new location is still hiring staff; there are more than 160 positions available. People are encouraged to apply at the hiring center on 212 South River Avenue. They can also text "BARFLY" to 85000 or apply online. The deadline to apply is April 12.
