OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. — A man walking to a bus stop in Holland Township was killed Monday morning after he was hit by a car.
Deputies say the incident happened just before 8 a.m. on 132nd Avenue. The man, identified as a 55-year-old man who lived nearby, had been walking to the bus stop when he was hit by a northbound vehicle, according to deputies.
First responders attempted to save the man's life, but were unsuccessful.
The driver of the vehicle, a 37-year-old Holland woman, stopped after the collision and called 911.
