HOLLAND, Mich. — Nathan Bocks will serve another term as Holland's mayor.
In Tuesday's general election, incumbent Bocks defeated challenger Larry Shattuck with 4,924 to his 2,370 votes, respectively.
Shattuck, who describes himself as a technology entrepreneur with a career in cyber security, ran on a platform about protecting Holland's heritage, diversity, equity and inclusion, and security.
Voters elected Bocks as mayor in 2019, but he's served on various community boards and commissions in Holland over the past 20 years.
Bocks is known for loving Holland's famous Tulip Time festival, and he's been a tour guide since 1994.
He'll serve for two years.
