HOLLAND, Mich. — There will be a brand new event on the opening weekend of Tulip Time this year.
"Pedals in the Park" is a bicycle-themed event that will fit perfectly with the 2024 Tulip Time theme of "Bikes and Blooms".
The event will take place at Kollen Park in Holland on the first Sunday of Tulip Time: May 5, 2024 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.
The event will have family-friendly activities like bike and helmet decorating, a bicycle fashion runway, photo booth, and design competition. Awards will be handed out for "Most Creative," "Most Outrageous," and " Most Representative of Tulip Time."
There will also be a bicycle obstacle course, a riding loop, an ice cream truck, prizes and a live DJ.
No tickets needed for this free event. All ages are welcome.
"Pedals in the Park is a family event for locals and guests alike," said Lorma Freestone, the event coordinator. "It will be a great way to involve the community and celebrate Bikes and Blooms in one of our city's most scenic parks."
Tulip Time 2024 kicks off on Saturday, May 4 and runs through Sunday, May 12. You can find a complete list of events at TulipTime.com.
