SOUTH HAVEN, Mich. — Start your engines, West Michigan!

The 41st Antique Engine and Tractor Show is taking place in South Haven from September 5 through 8. The event, deemed a giant-sized “Slice of Americana" by organizers, celebrates Michigan's rich history in agriculture.

Put on by the Michigan Flywheelers Museum, it's one of the largest antique tractor shows in the Midwest. It draws crowds of 8,000 to 10,000 every year.

Visitors will see rows upon rows of antique tractors and steam engines on display. You can also check out an operating steam-powered sawmill and shingle mill, an authentic operating blacksmith shop, vintage farm equipment, conveniences and memorabilia.

Organizers guarantee you'll see brand-name machines that are straight from the past, including International Harvester, Farmall, Case, Cockshutt, Massey Ferguson, Allis Chalmers and more.

This is on top of live bands, food, a huge flea market and other entertainment.

The event is planned for the Michigan Flywheelers showgrounds on 68th Street, just south of Phoenix Road.

Gates open at 8 a.m. and rustic camping is available.

Bands and entertainment will continue into the evening.
