IONIA COUNTY, Mich. — Multiple people were taken to the hospital after a head-on crash in Ionia Township on Friday afternoon.
Deputies were dispatched to E Blue Water Highway near Hillcrest Road around 12:30 p.m. for a head-on crash, according to the Ionia County Sheriff's Office.
Troopers said a 30-year-old Lyons man driving a Nissan Rogue was headed eastbound on Blue Water Highway when he lost control and crossed the center line due to snowy conditions. The man hit a westbound Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 25-year-old Ionia man.
Occupants of both cars were taken to local hospitals for non-life-threatening injuries, according to deputies.
