Michigan State Police: Jeep ran a red light at 60th & Broadmoor hitting a motorcyclist

First responders rushed the motorcyclist to the hospital with serious injuries. The Jeep's driver had minor injuries and was also taken to the hospital, police said.

CALEDONIA TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Two people were hurt in a crash between a Jeep and a motorcycle Tuesday afternoon in Caledonia Township.

Michigan State Police said the crash happened around 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of 60th and Broadmoor. 

A witness told troopers the motorcycle was headed westbound on 60th when a Jeep ran a red light. 

The motorcyclist ran into the passenger side of the Jeep and was seriously hurt. 

Troopers said the Jeep's driver was also taken to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
