GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The John Ball Zoo is looking to fill several open seasonal positions and will be hosting a virtual hiring event this weekend.
The hiring event is on Saturday, Feb. 6 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Seasonal employees will fill roles in retail, food and beverage, guest services, experiences, building and groups and education.
The zoo said it offers competitive pay and a free membership to employees. After 45 days, seasonal employees are also eligible for pay increases.
According to a press release John Ball Zoo was recognized as one of the "Best and Brightest companies to Work For in West Michigan" for 2020.
The interviews for the virtual hiring event will be with leaders from each department. Prior to the event, interested candidates need to sign-up for a specific interview time and apply online. Links to these, along with department descriptions are available on the zoo’s website at www.jbzoo.org/hiringevent.
Applicants must be 15 years of age or older.
