KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Saugatuck Brewing Kalamazoo is temporarily closed due to a structure fire on Saturday morning.

Around 10 a.m. the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety responded to a structure fire in the 200 block of East Michigan Avenue, where Saugatuck Brewing Kalamazoo is located.

Officers said when they arrived they found heavy smoke and fire coming from the rooftop of the building.

KDPS said the fire was brought under control in about 30 minutes.

There were no injuries reported in the fire, KDPS said.

Eastbound traffic for Michigan Avenue at Rose Street and northbound traffic for Portage Road at South Street was completely shut down during the fire.

Around 12:40 p.m., KDPS posted on Facebook and said road closures related to the fire were reopened.

KDPS said the Fire Marshal's office remained at the scene to investigate the cause of the fire.

The brewery posted on Facebook and said it would announce updates on the situation as they come.

This fire comes just hours after KDPS posted on Facebook about a structure fire that left a home "uninhabitable."

KDPS said around 4:30 a.m. Saturday crews responded to the 700 block of Riverview Drive for a report of a fire.

When officers arrived, they found the home fully engulfed in flames and began working to put it out.
