KALAMAZOO, Michigan — A second man has been arrested in connection to a July homicide in Kalamazoo, according to the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety.
KDPS said on July 24, 30-year-old Charles Lee Weir was killed on Fox Ridge Drive.
According to police, 21-year-old Deyonte Armstrong was apprehended by the U.S. Marshals near Chicago and extradited to Kalamazoo after waiving extradition.
Police said Armstrong was arraigned on Friday and denied bond.
Armstrong faces multiple charges, including felony homicide - open murder, felony weapons - firearm (two counts), and felony weapons - possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
According to police, Armstrong's arrest follows the earlier apprehension of DonQuay White. He was arrested on July 31 and charged with open murder, felony firearm and felon in possession of a firearm.
