KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A person is in the hospital after a shooting in Kalamazoo on Saturday, according to the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety.
Police said around 9:55 p.m. officers were sent to the area of Florence and Woodbury for a shots fired complaint.
When they arrived, the police were told a victim had just gotten to a local hospital with a gunshot wound.
Police said the victim, a 30-year-old Kalamazoo resident, was shot once in the leg and was in stable condition.
The suspect fled the area and hasn't been identified yet, police said.
