KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Comstock Public Schools in Kalamazoo will be closed Friday, Sept. 20 to investigate threats.
The district announced the closure on its Facebook page around 8 a.m. Friday. Officials did not elaborate on the threats, but said staff will be investigating.
"We apologize for any inconveniences this closing might cause," reads the post.
Comstock Public Schools is among many West Michigan districts to announce closures to investigate a threat. Multiple schools closed last week for investigations, and Grandville schools were closed on Thursday.
Other schools in West Michigan have also looked into threats in the past week, including Jenison, East Kentwood, Byron Center, Three Rivers and Newaygo.
