OSHTEMO TOWNSHIP, Mich. - The Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office is searching for the driver who hit and killed a pedestrian then left the scene.
The incident happened Saturday, Dec. 8 around 11:10 p.m. near the 3800 block of S 9th St. in Oshtemo Township.
A man in his 40s was walking north on S 9th St, near Flesher Field, when he was struck by a black vehicle. The suspect vehicle did not stop after the crash, but instead headed north on S 9th.
Investigators say the vehicle should have a missing passenger side mirror and damage to the passenger side headlight.
The victim was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
