Bystander injured after shots fired at gas station in Kalamazoo

Police say multiple shots were fired at an intended target, but a bystander was hit.

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A bystander was injured Sunday when shots were fired at a Kalamazoo gas station.

The shooting happened around 4:30 p.m. at the Speedway at the corner of KL Avenue and Drake Road. Police say multiple shots were fired at an intended target, but a bystander was hit.

The victim sustained minor injuries.

The investigation is now ongoing. Anyone with information on this shooting is asked to contact the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office at 269-383-8748 or Silent Observer at 269-343-2100.
