KENT COUNTY, Mich. — A one-vehicle crash killed one Wednesday evening in Kent County.
Police say the incident happened just before 4 p.m. on Fruit Ridge Avenue near 9 Mile Road. Only one car and one occupant were involved. The driver, a 35-year-old female from Sparta, died at the scene. No other occupants were in the car during the accident.
The intersection was closed during the investigation process. The accident remains under investigation, but speed is believed to be a factor in the crash. The victim’s name is being withheld pending family notification.
