KENT COUNTY, Mich. — Deputies with the Kent County Sheriff's Office are investigating a shooting in Gaines Township.
The sheriff's office said it happened just before noon in the area of Eastern Avenue and Woodfield Drive.
Detectives said a 22-year-old man from Tennessee was hit with a bullet, and taken to an area hospital for treatment.
The sheriff's office thinks it was an accident.
Everyone involved has been identified, authorities said.
