Police: Fight involving about 15 people leaves 1 injured at Kentwood birthday party

Police say everyone involved knew each other, and that no weapons were involved.

KENTWOOD, Mich. — One person was injured after a fight involving about 15 people broke out at a birthday party in Kentwood.

Police say they responded to the incident around 7:45 p.m. on Saturday. A group had been attending a birthday party at Main Event, an entertainment venue on 28th Street SE, when a fight involving 15 to 20 people broke out. Officers separated several people involved in the fight when they arrived.

Both adults and teens were taking part, police say. It is not clear how the fight began.

One person sustained a minor injury. Police say everyone involved knew each other, and that no weapons were involved.

No arrests have been made at this time.
