KENTWOOD, Mich. - 13 ON YOUR SIDE's Kristin Mazur has been exploring some iconic places in West Michigan and learning more about her new home.
Kristin took a trip to Horrocks Market, a family business that dates back more than 60 years -- when the original store was built in Lansing. The Kentwood location has been open since 2002.
Kristin spoke with manager and co-owner Autumn Horrock. Autumn's grandfather was the person who started the Lansing market.
Horrocks is more than a grocery store -- it's a community experience and offers much more than food.
Kristin and Autumn took a tour of the store, stopping by the stopping by the deli, greenhouse, free coffee section, new gelato spot, produce section, popcorn sampling section, the tavern offering draft beer and wine along with wine tastings, fresh food for eat-in, and the meat department.
Horrocks Market is located at 4455 Breton Road SE and open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m. and on Sunday from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m.
