KENTWOOD, Mich. — A suspect who had already fled from Kentwood Police previously tried it again Thursday night.

This time, a Kentwood Police officer spotted the car in the 3100 block of Breton Avenue just before 11 p.m.

The officer began a traffic stop, but the suspect's car backed up and rammed the patrol car, moving it backward.

That wiggle room gave the suspect's car the space to flee.

Officers in pursuit of the suspect called off the chase for safety reasons.

Then several hours later, both Kentwood and Wyoming officers spotted that same vehicle.

Officers arrested the man in a nearby home. He's expected to face charges related to feeling officers and assault.
