CASCADE TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- A woman died in a crash at Patterson Avenue and 52nd Street Wednesday morning.
The Kent County Sheriff's Department says a Chevy Blazer was driving north on Patterson and hit a Chevy Cruze that was making a left turn onto 52nd Street.
Katherine Elizabeth Mead, 25, was pinned underneath her Chevrolet Blazer, which rolled over in the crash. She later died from her injuries at the hospital. Matthew Staal, 28, was a passenger in her vehicle, but he only has minor injuries.
Mnasse Tekle, 33, was driving the Cruze, and he only suffered minor injuries.
The crash happened around 6 a.m. and caused the road to be closed for several hours.
