The Target store in Gaines Township was evacuated this afternoon around 3:30 p.m.
The Kent County Sheriff's Office said that they received a call from the store because a bomb threat was called in to Target.
Responding officers evacuated the building and the Staples store next door. They searched Target and nothing was found.

Police worked with the store's management to verify that everything was secure. They will be turning the building back over to management tonight.
Dispatch said there is no threat to the public.
