MUSKEGON, Mich. — Several crews were responding to a house fire in Norton Shores early Wednesday morning.
It broke out at home near the corner of Leif Avenue and Griesbach Street around 6 a.m, according to the Norton Shores Fire Department.
Authorities confirmed three people were inside the home when the fire started, but everyone was able to get out safely.
Firefighters were called to the area to knock it down -- the house was fully engulfed. Flames were seen coming out of both sides of the house, as well as an upper level window.
The fire department said two people were sleeping and a third person came home and found the fire. One person tried to put the fire out but realized it was too big.
One person suffered minor injuries in the incident.
As of 7:00 a.m., the fire had been extinguished but crews were still on scene checking for hot spots.
