Lee Van Ameyde retiring from WZZM 13 after nearly 39 years

We're so grateful for his time with us as an anchor and Watchdog reporter, and we wish him the very best in his next adventure.

Friday is Lee Van Ameyde's last day at WZZM 13. He is retiring from the station after nearly 39 years here.

We're so grateful for his time with us as an anchor and Watchdog reporter, and we wish him the very best in his next adventure.

Many of you have shared your good wishes for Lee, and you can add yours on the WZZM 13 Facebook page.

"Lee has done it all in the newsroom in the past four decades: reporter, producer, anchor, and most recently leading our Watchdog Investigative Team," said Janet Mason, WZZM 13 President & General Manager. "Lee may be retiring from WZZM, but we know he is looking forward to his next adventure.

"Lee is a big ‘Star Trek’ fan, so our wish for him is to 'Live long and prosper.' Best wishes in the next phase of his life; he will be missed."
